Collars are huge news this season – if the Man Repeller says so, you know it must be so – and Asos has come up trumps in providing a series of options for those of you just dying to try out the trend without spending mega bucks. (If you are spending mega bucks, check out these babies by Eleven Objects for size – I’ll have one of each, thanks . . .)

Love this pearl collar from Asos (just click on the photo to be taken to the item!), and especially love how this model is the image of Zooey Deschanel, which makes me want to listen to this . . .

This Gemma Lister collar (again, click through for the item!) is a little pricier at £75 or so, but I quite adore it. It’s definitely on my hit list, and see how it transforms even a simple sweater?! These collars are amazing.

These collar tips are a great way to road test this look without going the whole hog, and I think they’d make my sheer Penneys shirt look just faaaabulous . . . speaking of which, here’s my take on collaring, without, you know, a collar. I took a really chunky necklace, pinned it up really short and buttoned my shirt all the way up to the neck. I usually think I’m a bit buxom for the full button-up but this was kind of sweet, I think.

Did you know, by the way, that you can follow Fash Mob on Twitter? You can also follow me (although, I warn you, there’s a lot of One Direction talk going on at the moment), and you can follow Fash Mob on Facebook an’ all. What’re you waiting for?!
