This past week, classic leather goods label Tod’s has opened an outlet in Kildare Village (just off the N7!*).

It’s a really classic label, and one that wouldn’t necessarily be my style – or at least, I wouldn’t think it my style – but it’s really in fitting with current trends for ladylike fashions, and I’m quite tempted to buy a pair of their brogues, despite my recent brogue purchase.

Plus, aren’t these ads sumptuous? They remind me of those hours I spend feeling super jealous of people who holiday in the Hampton’s and drive Land Rover Defenders.

I wouldn’t be surprised if K and P Middy were fans; it has that kind of Sloaney quality that those two seem to just love.

In any case, Tod’s really carries investment pieces – so it’s nice to see it take up shop in KV; outlet shopping often seems like a way of offloading last season’s trends, but with brands such as Tod’s and Aquascutum in situ you can pick up really classic pieces at a discount, which has to be a win-win.

* I feel like an ad, but I love Kildare Village, and it really is super near. Less than 45 minutes as the crow flies / the Ford Fiesta breaks the speed limit.
