Have you ever found yourself eyeing something up and just not being quite sure whether you wanted to go the whole hog? This butterfly kimono was a case in point for me – I saw it on Topshop.com and spent a good long week, well, not buying it. I’m not sure what it is; I already own three kimonos, each of which is equally nice; perhaps I think butterflies are going to come and go quite quickly; maybe I just wasn’t that enamoured of it.

Then, this morning, I saw this pic on Annawii, via Moves Fashion, and thought, “hell, I need that kimono!” I didn’t buy it, for the record – because I realised, in the nick of time, that I was only buying it because Tizzi had somehow made it a must-have item in my mind. It doesn’t matter that we have very different styles and body shapes; much like the Jeffrey Campbell Lita phenomenon (Annawii herself is a case in point on that note!), it was the blogger who had made it a must-have item. Which, I guess, goes to show the power of the blogger.

Has that ever happened you? That you felt lukewarm about something until you saw a fashion blogger whose style you admire post about it?
