I recently spied this amazing green clutch in a magazine, although I can’t remember which one. (Anyone?)

It’s since sold out on Topshop‘s website, but I had a bit of a scour and found a very similar one on Asos (below), which I then showed to a colleague who remarked, “Clutches are really annoying at that size, though – especially if they don’t come with a strap.” It’s a practical point, but an entirely relevant one – they are, in fact, really annoying at that size, and without a strap.

Seriously love this bag. And it’s available in a host of colours! But really . . . is it too big? It reminded me of this pic of Scarlett Johansson at a recent outing, although her clutch was significantly more manageable.

What do you think then? Is the clutch bag still in? Or does its impracticality ensure it stays out? Answers on a postcard.
