I haven’t been in Brown Thomas in ages – save for wandering quickly in and out to sample the Ladurée macaroons (drool), because I know that, if I venture further inside, I might be tempted to crack into my almost-paid-off-credit-card and buy some Tibi goodies. The New York-based label was founded in 1997 by Amy Smilovic, and now produces gorgeous pieces that combine relaxed luxury with fresh colours and prints for a really wearable and dare I say work-appropriate collection.

And the label got another coup this year when It-girl of the moment, Olivia Palermo, was signed up to be the face of the brand. (Let’s not worry about the fact that Palermo is also the face of Hogan and God knows how many other labels.)

Serious legs on Palermo, wha? In other news, I love these behind-the-scenes-style shots; there’s something a lot more refreshing about them than your run-of-the-mill editorial photography. (I’m sure there’s a pendulum swing in the near future, when Garance, Scott et al will go firmly out of fashion and we’ll be back to jostling for “real” photography.)
