Reviewing the coverage of the Met Gala red carpet, I was shocked by how negative we’re all being about these badly dressed celebrities! Isn’t it enough that they show up and, eh, do whatever it is they do? (Yes, I’m looking at you, Isabel Lucas – what is it that you do these days?!) So I have decided to give you a snippet of two celebrities who look awesome. In these clipped photographs! YES, YOU HEARD ME.

This genius idea occurred to me because I happened to see these shots before I saw the full things, and loved them. Then I scrolled through and, well, everything fell apart. But I’m trying a whole new positivity kick, so these edited versions are gifts of love and positivity. From me to you.

Well hallo there Brooklyn Decker! (I still have no idea what this woman does – is she an actor? Is she a model? Is there a difference?) Don’t you look fabulous? Admittedly, as if you could be wearing a neon pink wetsuit, but you’re smiling! And that’s important! This photograph fills my soul with sunshine.

Joan! You’ve taken a break from your frankly tiring (no?) ensembles of tailored tweed dresses and suits and, um . . . well. Your make-up is only delightful. I’m not quite sure what else is going on. The fug girls know, but I’m ignoring their pithy response and saying: you look swell! I seriously love Christina’s make-up here, not to mention her hair, and the fact that, for once, her boobs are at a normal eyeline. Just sayin’.
