Do you see what I did there? Honestly I sometimes believe my genius is unparallelled. What’s that you say? That pun’s been made before? Oh, dear.

I always feel as if a brand’s lookbook shots tell you a lot about it. With Cos, they really do: pure, understated, cool. Dripping out of every pore and off every fibre of the fabric. Really minimalist cuts, very few prints, a muted colour palette with accents of primary colours – Swedish elegance, everyday style. That’s how I see it, anyway – and now, you can see it too, as Cos opens in Cork today and in Dundrum Town Centre tomorrow.

This happens to be my favourite piece from the current collection. Despite the H&M connection, Cos ain’t all that cheap – €190 for this baby – but the fabrics are great quality and the cuts are seriously slick. It reminds me of Acne, in a big way, and of cool Scandinavian girls who don’t care that their fits ain’t all that “fitted”. It’s all about borrowing your boyfriend’s clothes and making them look way cooller than he ever could. Love it.
