Elsa Peretti, the former Italian model and now jewellery designer, has turned her hand to a series of bottle designs for Tiffany, launched now in Tiffany & Co in Brown Thomas and online.

The Italian designer is renowned for her work in silver and gold for Tiffany, jewellery she has been designing for the high-end jeweller since 1974. Her trademark is the fluidity of her designs – apples, teardrops and now a revival of her first design, the bottle, with seamless shapes and no hard edges.

These sweet designs remind me of handmade jugs bought on the streets in Turkey; of the scenes in Disney’s Aladdin where our hero is running through the streets; of the old modernity of Tunisia; of lazy Italian towns and lazier Italian lunches.

And you know I love nothing more than to layer necklaces. I’d love to get a whole cluster of these and wear them together with something really simple: a pair of J Brand bootcut jeans (seen recently on Anna Wintour, proving that, if we were in any doubt, the bootcut is back) and a simple tee by Vince. Perfection.

Prices for the new jewellery collection start at €290.
