So, I know I posted about Warehouse only a short time ago – and, despite appearances to the contrary, I do hate to keep a one-brand focus, but, I just received an email about a jacket coming into stores this week and couldn’t help but post it. Behold:

Isn’t it amazing?! The bad news is, behold the breakdown:

Jeans £40/ €52, Blouse £50/ €65, Jacket £250/€325, Studded leather jacket £250 / €325

What strikes you about these details? Is it that there is no need to capitalise words unless they are proper nouns? Or is it, maybe, that £250 and €325 are on no planet equal or even approaching equal. Don’t believe me? Let’s take a trip to XE.com. Oh look! £250, at today’s exchange rate, is €287.21. WOW. So that’s an extra €38 (roughly) we’re paying for the privilege of buying our jacket in the Republic. I’d grant them the €8, actually, for transport costs. So they could charge us €295 and I wouldn’t complain. But €325 might just be a bridge too far.

So what’s the verdict? Go to Belfast! If you’re up there for the Irish Blog Awards, grab me one an’ all.
