Because today is, according to, oh, most fashion magazines, the day on which one should literally place one’s heart on one’s sleeve and party like it’s 1999 – with love hearts.

I am usually agin dressing up, not to mention sartorial themes, but today I decided to throw caution to the wind and embrace the season (okay, okay, day) of love. As such, I am decked out in a pink ‘n’ red dress, black cardigan, black tights, love heart earrings, little kissing couple earrings, two bracelets with hearts on them, one with a rose (“by any other name”) and a necklace with a key (to my heart, don’tcha know) and another with loads of Rs (as I love myself). Phew! I really pulled out all the stops.

(Had I been very organised, I would’ve gone for this, by South from Littlewoods Ireland, at €59.)

But what Fash Mob wants to know is: what are you wearing on this warm and fuzziest of days? Tweet us your snaps @itfashmob or email us at rmaccabe [at] irishtimes.com (watch out for the mac there – extra a, extra a!) and we will pick a winner. It can be a detail, anything you want. Prize TBC (in other words, found, but worry not, there will be a prize!).

Speaking of prizes: for the Trendenzas earrings (drum rooooooolll!), we have chosen a winner and it is none other than Deirdre Durran @ comment number 21. Deirdre, drop me an email with your address and I’ll send them out to you!
