I missed out on my chance to attend Gucci’s in-store cocktail party this past week as, you know, I was busy. Nothing to do with  my not having been invited (don’t they know who I am?) – but the point is this: let’s look at the great outfits on the people who did, all wearing Gucci.

Is it my imagination, or does Diane Kruger look a little, well, hippy in this? Amazing dress, and I have no fundamental problem with her looking hippy, as hippy is great, but it’s just unexpected as usually she is quite waif-like. ALSO: Where is Pacey?!! I hate seeing Kruger alone. They’re so jaunty together, plus, he’s delish.

Frida Giannini with Olivia Wilde who, following her Golden Globes triumph, is having a serious fashion moment. (Hate Giannini’s shoes – are they the same as Kruger’s? – with the fire of a thousand suns.)

Then Jessica Alba. Ah, the lovely Jessica Alba. (Do you know, during my teens, I wanted to get a barcode tattooed on the back of my neck, after her character in Dark Angel? And that, readers, is why tattoos are 18s only.) This will most definitely be in the top 20 dresses of the year, unless everything goes mad. Watch this space (or, you know, the next 11 months).
