Probably too soon, but I saw these amazing designs by Alexia Ulibarri and just immediately thought of the Oscars (perhaps because it reminds me of what someone wore this year – Penelope Cruz perhaps?). Alexia is a designer based in Mexico city and these dresses were shown there this week.

(This is a little attempt to get away from “what will we wear in the cold” posts, which perhaps have been exhausted, by looking at a bit of high fashion for a change. Let me know in the comments if you have any burning fashion questions that need to be answered right now and I’ll try to oblige.)

Ah, how Lanvin for H&M united high fashion and the common people. I love this photo, despite how condescending that sounded.
