This isn’t really a how-to guides. I don’t do how-to guides, as such. Instead, it’s going to be a variety of photographs of people doing style in the winter time, from which (hopefully) you will get some inspiration. Hurrah, you say! Hurrah.

(Today, FYI, I am wearing two pairs of tights, one of which is 200 denier, a silk skirt from Anthropologie, a black vest from Marks & Spencer and a black sweater from Penneys with a bow on it, with black knee-high boots from Aldo. I feel a little as if I’m going to a winter funeral-slash-going home to my non-existent boyfriend to go “happy Christmas, I’m your present”, in tacky American teen film style.)

I love Tor‘s layering here – much akin to the look I do be sporting when the temperatures drop

White tights are not my friend, but on Ana I think they look super-cute, especially paired with the neutral shades of the skirt ‘n’ top combo. Throw on a wool snood or scarf and a thick duffle and you’re set.

I think, where Alix is, in Paris, it’s still autumn – but still, love this look. Classic chic.

So how about you? Do you have a failsafe winter style?
