Who’s going to dress the royal wedding? or Prince William finally puts a ring on it

What a balm to the lovesick hearts of women across the world as we hear the news that Prince William has finally, after all this time, agreed to put a ring on the finger of his college sweetheart, Kate Middleton. It doesn’t matter that you’ve been with your fella forever; there’s still hope! Yaws, yaws, moving swiftly along:
Who will Middleton wear to her wedding? Who will she choose to design the dress for what will be one of the most photographed weddings in history, if not the most? (Is it just me, or is this a bit sad? Kate Middleton is, to me, the tabloid royalty version of Leona Lewis, summed up by one word: yawn. No offence to her, I’m sure she’s lovely, but she doesn’t give good celebrity – probably on purpose.)
One thing’s for sure – she will wear a British designer. She’s quite close, we hear at Fash Mob (always with the inside track, us) to Issa, who designed her dress for a friend’s wedding earlier this year.
I like the hat, but I wouldn’t be surprised if someone told me the dress was from River Island (Lord, we are in a bitchy mood today at Fash Mob HQ).
Next up we have John Galliano, who designed Gwen Stefani’s wedding dress (above). It might not be a great omen, seeing as Gwen later found out that Gavin Rossdale was Daisy Lowe’s babydaddy . . . but aside from tabloid gossip, I think Galliano might be just that little bit too avant garde for La Middleton. I could be wrong.
Ah, Viv Westwood. It’s been decided at Fash Mob HQ that Westwood would be our designer of choice for young Katie, perhaps forcing her out of her sloaney bubble and into something that little bit more interesting, but again, it seems unlikely – and not just because Pamela Anderson is the current poster girl. Leading us nicely onto . . .
Amanda Wakeley, who designs lovely, traditional, simple wedding dresses . . . my second yawn of the post. So, who would your money be on? (Mine’s divided between Issa and Wakeley, for the record.) Do you have any other bright ideas? Do share.
