Review and giveaway – teeth whitening at The White House
Rosemary Mac Cabe
UPDATE: The winner is . . . number 67, Danielle. An email is making its way to you as I type!
Last week I made my way over to Dundrum to have my teeth whitened, courtesy of The White House. It’s something I’d always considered getting done (because, you know, I’m vain) but just hadn’t got around to, or kept putting off because I love coffee too much or might give up smoking next week (I know, I know) so when they got in contact asking if I’d like to try it out, it seemed like there weren’t enough excuses in the world to warrant missing out.
I went along on a chilly Tuesday afternoon to their sparkling premises in Dundrum (word of warning: the premises is new and the bathrooms aren’t up and running yet, so go before you, eh, go!) to have my 36-minute treatment (two 18-minute sessions).
Dr Fred Desmond, who is behind The White House, sat me down and talked me through the procedure: gel and accelerator are applied to your teeth, after which point you lie back and listen to the radio while the laser blasts off any stains that have accumulated over the years. I really have nothing more to say about the treatment – I sat back and listened to the radio. The only vaguely uncomfortable part was that I kept wanting to lick my lips or teeth, or swallow, and couldn’t – but, as I said, it’s only 18 minutes each time and it was over, honestly, before I knew it.
Results? My teeth are about three shades lighter than they were before. I don’t look like Cheryl Cole, and only one person has actually noticed it off the bat, but I’m pretty pleased with it – and noticed no sensitivity, which was my main concern when undergoing treatment!
Now, the giveaway part? I have one laser teeth whitening treatment to give away to one lucky reader, in either The White House’s Dundrum, Swords or Galway locations – so leave a comment below and someone will be chosen at random to have the treatment.
Closing date: Friday, November 19th at 11.59pm. Our decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

I’d love to ping!!!!
I’d love to try this – as I’ve tried everything else and my teeth still aren’t white – but I don’t think it will work to be honest – so prove me wrong and pick me….. thankx

Yes please!!
Oh pick me pick me I have my xmas party coming up would love lovely white teeth for the occasion
Me please, if i can’t get new teeth then pearly white ones would do
Ugh treatments with lasers and unfinished facilities would send alarm bells ringing. I know it’s a new building but if it’s not ready don’t open up for business. Saying that you had a grand time with it so I’d love to go ahead and get over my misconceptions and come out with lovely whiter teeth
WWWWT – Who wouldn’t want white teeth?
All I want for Xmas is my NEW front teeth!
Would love this!
My friend is getting married on 27th December and I am bridesmaid. Would like to not upset the photographer!
I have a brown stain on my front teeth from tea coffee etc. Please can I win so I can smile all day long !!!!!
I am so ashamed of my teeth that I have stopped wearing lipstick. I’d love to have a go of this and maybe get back to wearing a pop of colour for Christmas. Would be so amazing.
A Smile can be contagious, with a whiter one, id like to pass some more on, maybe make poeple feel a litter bit happier.
This is a good article and quite informative for users.
