If you’ve seen the television ads for the Jervis Shopping Centre, you’ll know this: Forever 21 has finally landed – or, at least, it will have landed to the public at 10am tomorrow morning, when the US high street giant opens its doors to its willing spenders.

Amber Le Bon (above) is the face of the brand, and will be in situ tonight for its VIP launch – although I can’t quite see her hanging around for too long tomorrow. Between Forever 21 and New Look, Jervis has really upped the fashion ante – and now, not only does it have the only Miss Selfridge in the city, it has these two huge draws, as well as Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, Tesco, Marks & Spencer . . . I could go on, but I’d be fearful of sounding a little like an ad.

What I want to know is: will this make you venture north more often than you would have? Because I, for one, can’t see any great reasons to shop on the southside any more, except for the fact that the northside is still sorely, sorely lacking in good lunch venues. What do you think?
