Here’s Rumi rocking ombre hair, a trilby and an autumnal scarf  – LOVE.

So what does autumn bring? Cooler, crisper days and nights; layers, layers and more layers; chunky knits paired with leather and suede (mixing textures is so very 2010); camel, camel and more camel (check out Zara and H&M for some great, affordable basic pieces including Zara’s mannish double-breasted blazer); boots!

I love the autumn/winter scour for a good pair of boots. Not too high, not too low; comfy, cosy; slouchy if possible; and with a slight edge so that I don’t feel quite like I’m running with the herd. Any recommendations? Let me know in the comments!

Oh! And what’s your favourite aspect of autumn dressing? Is it the opaque tights (I love when I can finally get back in my 70 deniers)? The knee-high boots? The opportunity to mix up your summer dresses with winter woollens?
