This weekend, from Friday through to Sunday, the inaugural Dublin Festival of Fashion is underway in the capital, incorporating discounts, fashion shows and a pop-up shop in the former Habitat building on Suffolk Street.

Karen Koster, launching the festival in Dublin

Over the weekend there will be heaps of stuff on – including shows on Grafton and Henry St (on all three days, see the website for info), a pop-up store from Barnados (which sources great vintage, FYI) in the Festival HQ in the former Habitat building, make-up masterclasses from Ken Boylan and Sarah-Jane Wai O’Flynn courtesy of Rimmel, a fashion exhibition by Griffith College graduates, and discounts and special offers (my favourite, at first glance, would be the style masterclass at vintage rental emporium Covet, with champagne and cake treats!) at a whole range of venues across Dublin (see here for details).

I’ll be milling around town this weekend, checking out what’s on offer and possibly, quite possibly, with camera in tow looking to get a gander at the fashionable people strutting around. Say hi if you see me – and do let me know in the comments what tickles your fancy and, after the fact, what you’ve seen!

OH AND! If you haven’t already, leave a comment on the Rugby Rocks Fashion post for a chance to win tickets to the Bóthar fashion show at the Aviva Stadium.
