According to the website, the choices of any 20-something woman of a weekend are: hang out with the kids and the boyfriend / husband, or go to the Ultimate Girls’ Day Out in Dublin’s RDS. I know which side of the fence my hammer is falling, but it does beg the question: what am I to do with the rest of my weekends, when Ultimate Girls’ Day Out isn’t on, and I have neither man nor child to entertain me?!

Anyway lookit, these are questions for another day, because this weekend I will obviously be busy, being pampered and winning prizes and having a makeover (I have a fundamental problem with the word “makeover”; I think I’m fine the way I am, thanks v much). For all my sniping, y’see, I’m quite looking forward to this day of girly fun. It’ll be just like Sex and the City except, possibly, with slightly more complaining.

If it tickles your fancy, tickets are just €20 and it runs all weekend at the RDS.
