Arnotts, which has had its fair share of trouble over the past couple of weeks, has added the bridal favourite, Coast, to its arsenal. We detailed Coast’s new A/W offerings here just a few days ago, and their new space on the first floor of the Dublin department store promises to provide an experience unrivalled in choice and customer service.

Myleen Klass (above; photograph: Ian West/PA Wire) has been unveiled as the face of Marks & Spencer TV, with a special segment entitled (ingeniously, I think you’ll agree), Myleene’s Makeovers. The show will deal with “common shopping problems”. Well, M&S, allow me to begin here: your bra sizes (and I do love your underwear) vary between styles. It’s odd, not to mention disconcerting. Your trousers are built for people whose waists are about 27 inches smaller than their hips, and your cashmere cardigans, though they may be cashmere, are very odd, boxy shapes.

Miss Universe Ireland Rozanna Purcell (above; photograph: Reuters/Darren Decker) is set to compete, on August 23rd, in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the title of Miss Universe. She brought two Galway Crystal candleholders as her national gift, and demonstrates above how we use them here in Ireland. I wouldn’t want to be too hasty in my estimates, but I foresee a brilliant, if under-appreciated, career in pantomime on the horizon.
