Last night I attended a fashion table quiz in Odessa – which I have on good authority does the best brunch in Dublin – off Exchequer St, in association with West Coast Cooler‘s new “Hello Night” campaign and the lovely ladies (and fella) at Presence PR.

Now, I would be quite well-versed in fashion knowledge. I read New York magazine every day, for crying out loud! I buy every glossy, except for InStyle, which I’ve never managed to warm to, and I’ve worked in fashion in some capacity for roughly 10 years now (which makes me feel very old). But this quiz, quite frankly, floored me. FLOORED, I say. Round one seemed to start off quite well – who, for example, founded Net-a-Porter? But from then on in . . .

Try your hand at them; here’s a selection of the questions I couldn’t answer.

1. Who was Gianni Versace (pictured)’s assassin?

2. Who designed Victoria Beckham‘s wedding dress?

3. What country does La Perla lingerie originate from?

4. Who designs the Campari shoe (pictured)?

5. One of the founders of Agent Provocateur has a famous mother – name her and, for a bonus point, name him.

Now I must go off and lick my wounds, the shame of coming 8th like the taste of lead in my mouth. If you could answer all five of those questions without googling, let me know and you’re a shoo-in for a spot on my team for the next quiz.
