I know we’re still in the height of summer (and check out that weather!) and summer sales are in full flow, but there’s no harm taking a wee peek at what’s coming up for autumn/winter, namely (at this moment in time) the Alice by Temperley collection at Seagreen.

The collection has a much harder edge – and, crucially, a lower price point – than the original Temperley stuff, which is a little bit Sienna-goes-to-Wimbledon, while this is Sienna-goes-out. (It is very Sienna, or is that my imagination?)

(That leather dress is on my absolute must-buy list, as it happens. Soooo amazing, perfect for autumn, perfect for the office, perfect for going out – how many times can I use “perfect” in a sentence? Infinite.)

For now we’ll have to make do with floaty florals and pastels, but this collection is one of the first I’ve seen that has me yearning (whispered) slightly for the cool days of autumn . . . well, along with House of Fraser’s, which I posted a few days ago. That said, I’m loving the sun so I can wait!
