As part of its Fall 2010 make-up collection, Chanel has unveiled Paradoxal, what New York magazine is predicting will be the latest cult collectors’ item, after Particuliere proved such a hit with shoppers just a few short months ago. (Did you get your hands on it? Do strangers stop you in the street to admire your fingertips?)

Paradoxal (above) is a very wearable grey-violet shade, and shows a marked move away from the pastels and chalky tones we’ve seen for the past two seasons. I have no doubt that it’s a lovely nail polish, but putting my name on a list for a wee bottle of paint is just one fashion frenzied step too far for yours truly . . . what say ye?
