There’s something so joyful about a magazine cover – insofar as magazine covers can bring joy – that breaks the mould and brings us something different. This cover, with Freja Erichsen, reminds me of Marvel comics, beautiful citrus packaging, and the androgyny of the supermodels of the 1990s. It’s amazing, too, to think that Erichsen, whose rise to fame has been of Concorde-like speed, is still only 23. Sadly, in the modelling world, this may mean her days at the top are numbered – although not if she can keep producing work like this.

(i-D, by the way, is well worth checking out for amazing editorials and cooler-than-cool insights into what’s happenin’ right now in the worlds of art, fashion and music.)
