Sometimes you come across brands that you just don’t know that much about, and you have preconceptions; for me, SuperTrash was grungey streetwear, until I saw the latest collection and realised that not only was I confusing it with Superdry (an entirely different animal), SuperTrash has an amazing collection of edgy, feminine-yet-tough clothes, fitting right into my desired aesthetic.

I also love when fashion labels take the time to make their campaign imagery look this good. It doesn’t happen that often, but when it does, it really works – if your campaign is eyecatching and, beyond selling an item, sells a lifestyle (in this case, one that involves lounging by a pool in amazing heels), then you’re onto a winner.

Am I wrong in thinking this image wouldn’t be out of place in the pages of Elle or Marie-Claire? (I would say Vogue, but I’m sure there are bigger fans than I who would protest that there is nothing Vogue-ish about this as there are no mad hats and you could probably wear the clothes in real life.)

(I know this dress is a little bit American Apparel, but the leather jacket – and, let’s face it, moody lighting – totally won me over.)
