These ads are really something. French Connection has turned itself around, from the grungy FCUK ads to these, which really could be for a high-end, kooky fashion brand – I’m thinking Miu Miu, just because of the colours, although it could be anything at all. If you had to guess, what would you say?

These are so clever because they’re using slogans to allow you to identify with this brand, but they’re not talking directly to you as if you’re the one wearing the brand; you’re the other, which places you outside of the brand’s own self and allows you to view it as something you want. This woman has it; you want it. You could be her, you could be the woman.

Also, they’re a bit like song lyrics, or beat poetry. I love it. Do you?
