To say that we were a little surprised to see Michu appear out of the tunnel last weekend against Manchester United is an understatement after the midfielder had been ruled out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.
Michu was taken off against Manchester City in round 36 after he reportedly tweaked his hamstring and was soon ruled out for the remainder of the season by the Swansea medical staff, but he obviously didn’t get the memo and decided to return to face United.
The Spaniard was not content with just playing, he was on hand to score the Swans equalizer on the day and very nearly ruined the party at Old Trafford as United said goodbye to Sir Alex Ferguson.
The former Rayo Vallecano midfielder has been without doubt the bargain buy of the season costing Michael Laudrup on £2 million and with a fantasy value of just £3.9 million his 18 goals and 3 assists have come with little or no financial risk to fantasy managers.
Swansea head into the final day of the season having already picked up the League Cup and assured themselves of a top half finish and of course European football next season, but they will want to put put on a good show in their final home game of the season.
Fulham make up their opponents this weekend and with the Cottagers already looking like they are on their summer holidays Swansea should win this one at a canter if their performance last weekend is anything to go by.
Michu is of course actually a differential this weekend believe it or not, having been ruled out for the season fantasy managers shipped him out by their thousands meaning his ownership rate is at an all time low, which could work to your advantage this weekend.
