Monday, May 13th, 2013 at 7:42 pm by Phil Mc Grath

We have reached the final fixture week of the fantasy premier league season and as we prepare for the last week of battle we take a little look back at some of the more interesting points fantasy managers should be aware of heading into round 38.

While last weekend will be forever be remembered for the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson and the changing of the guard at Old Trafford there were still plenty of points on offer and players to be aware of.

With many leagues yet to be decided every little edge will help this coming weekend and hopefully you can glean some nuggets of information from this week’s managers notes that can give you that edge.

Sturridge Makes A Case For Captaincy

In last week’s tip we spoke about the potential of Daniel Sturridge despite the fact that he drew a blank in the Merseyside derby the week before and he didn’t let us down as he returned to goal scoring form at Craven Cottage

Adebayor & Dempsey Plays Their Way Into Contention

It’s fair to say that Gareth Bale has been the fantasy focal point of the Tottenham squad this season but having drawn back-to-back blanks for the first time since round 23 Spurs had to look elsewhere for goals.

Ben Arfa Proves He Can Still Produce The Goods

In last week’s midfielders tips we spoke about how the return of Hatem Ben Arfa to the Newcastle side could prove beneficial for both the Magpie’s and fantasy managers alike and once again we were on the money.

Benteke Out For The Final Week

We have spoken at length this season about the Aston Villa frontman Christian Benteke and how he has single handedly pulled Paul Lambert’s side out of the relegation zone.

Mirallas Offers Cut Price Option Up Front

It would seem that the strength of the Belgian contingent in the premier league knows no boundaries as yet another of the Belgian imports proves he can produce the goods for fantasy managers.
