It’s fair to say that Gareth Bale has been the fantasy focal point of the Tottenham squad this season but having drawn back-to-back blanks for the first time since round 23 Spurs had to look elsewhere for goals.
Clint Dempsey had a hand in both the visitors’ strikes, with a goal and assist helping the US international to a second double figure haul in his last four starts.
Emmanuel Adebayor notched in back-to-back matches for the first time this season, having also found the net at Stamford Bridge in midweek and is now looking like the Adebayor we saw last season.
The Togo international has now produced three goals and a pair of assists in his last four starts and looks a real option for next week’s final round of matches at home to Sunderland.
While Gareth Bale is still a player that can not be overlooked heading into the final week of the fantasy season as Tottenham go in search of Champions League football, both Dempsey and Adebayor could prove to be real differentials.
At this point fantasy managers will need to think outside of the box as they try and top the points tables and a punt of either of the two could prove fruitful come sunday.
