Last weekend’s scoreless draw with Everton will not have been the result Liverpool were hoping for as they try and overtake their Merseyside neighbours in the league table and they will be looking to bounce back this weekend against Fulham.
While Liverpool’s hopes of automatically qualifying for the Europa League look to be all but gone they will still want to push on and finish the season strongly and for fantasy managers that means there is still value in the Liverpool side.
When Luis Suarez picked up his ban for the now infamous biting incident we spoke about the growing fantasy prospects of Daniel Sturridge and to be fair he hasn’t really let us down.
With three goals and two assists to his credit in the last three games he has done as expected and lead the line for the Reds with great competency and as Liverpool prepare for a trip to Craven Cottage this weekend we expect more of the same from the former Chelsea man.
Martin Jol’s side went down 4-2 to the already relegated Royals last weekend and in truth they looked like they were already planning their summer holidays and having conceded 10 goals in their last five games it doesn’t look good for them this weekend.
Sturridge has had limited game time since his arrival at Anfield in January but with Suarez out of the way this is his chance to stake his claim on the center forward role and he will want to impress even if there isn’t much left to play for and for that reason he could be a very shrewd fantasy transfer this weekend.
