Well with round 36 coming to a close last night as Sunderland and Stoke fought out a 1-1 draw at the Stadium of Light our attention has immediately turned to round 37 of the Irish Times Fantasy Premier League.
Round 37 kicks off tonight with the games between Manchester City and West Brom and Wigan against Swansea, so if you are looking to cash in on the double don’t forget to make your changes prior to 07:45 this evening.
For now however we will continue with our usual coverage of the fixture week and turn our attention to defenders for the impending round.
Jan Vertonghen (Tottenham) £4.1 million Fixtures: Chelsea & Stoke (Away)
The race for Champions League qualification is getting more exciting and Tottenham’s Jan Vertonghen has been a key player for them during this tense run in.
Leighton Baines (Everton) £4.5 million Fixture: West Ham (Home)
Leighton Baines is always a popular fantasy premier league player but many find him a little expensive however his performances over the last ten premier league games have justified his cost.
Phil Jones (Manchester United) £4.8 million Fixture: Swansea (Home)
Phil Jones has not quite made the impact at Old Trafford this season that he would have hoped for last August. Despite this the young Englishman has played the last six games for Manchester United in the Premier League.
Ryan Benett (Norwich) £3.1 million Fixture: West Brom (Home)
Ryan Bennett came through the Ipswich Town youth academy and had played over one hundred and eighty league games for Grimsby Town and Peterborough United prior to his move to Norwich last year.
