Can Benteke Continue His Brilliant Run Of Form?

Thursday, May 2nd, 2013 at 4:01 pm by Phil Mc Grath

We have spoken on numerous occasions about the potential for the 22 year old Aston Villa forward here in the Managers Office and last week we saw that potential in all it’s glory as Villa beat Sunderland 6-1.

Benteke celebrates his hat-trick last weekend and we expect more of the same against Norwich this coming weekend.

Benteke was magnificent as he went on to claim a second half hat-trick and with it all the plaudits and accolades and for fantasy premier league managers, they too were rewarded with a massive 14 points.

Villa’s current position is clear if they can win their next two games they will stay up and with the final game of the season against Wigan they will not want to leave it up to a winner takes all game on Sunday the 19th.

This week Benteke and Villa travel to Carrow Road to take on Chris Hughton’s Norwich and with the Canaries showing signs of slowing down ahead of the summer break Villa will feel that the three points are there for the taking.

With 18 goals and four assists to his credit Benteke has contributed to over half of the 42 goals the Villains have scored this season and they will be relying on him to pitch in once again if they are to pick up all three points.

Outside of this coming fixture week Benteke is an interesting prospect for the remaining three weeks of the season and with Chelsea and Wigan to come after their trip to Norwich the big Belgian could serve you well in the points department.
