Having spoken prior to round 35 about the prospects of Manchester City’s Samir Nasri the former Arsenal man didn’t let us down as he went on to pick up two assists for his efforts against West Ham at the weekend.
Having eight points last weekend Nasri has now taken his total over the five four games to a rather impressive 25 points and given his differential value to fantasy managers that tally could make a huge difference come the end of the fantasy season.
City travel to Swansea this coming weekend and with Nasri continuing to impress this weekend’s fixture at the Liberty Stadium could once again afford him a chance to add to his two goals and seven assists.
City of course look to have second spot wrapped up but they will still want to finish the season with a flourish, Swansea on the other hand have somewhat tapered off over recent weeks having failed to win any of their last six.
It would seem that Swansea’s season is all but over with their premier league survival well assured at this point and a place in Europe secured thanks to their victory in the Capital One Cup there really is little left for the Swans to play for and it is showing.
Defensively Michael Laudrup’s side have not been at their best of late conceding 15 goals in their last eight games and with City having notched up 13 goals during that time, Nasri and City are sure to get chances to score in Wales.
