Chelsea Midfield Makes It’s Mark

Not for the first time this season the Chelsea midfield is causing fantasy managers real selection headaches as Mata, Oscar and Lampard got in on the points during their sides 2-0 win over Swansea.

A goal and an assist at the weekend may not be enough to tempt investment in rotation risk Lampard.

The result now means that  Rafa Benitez‘s side have clinched sixth straight wins at Stamford Bridge and look to be putting on a late charge at the top as they go in search of Champions League football.

Lampard’s goal and an assist will have certainly caught the eye of fantasy managers but were it not for a thigh injury to Ramires the chances are we wouldn’t have seem the England international start.

The 34 year old was on hand to tee up Oscar for Chelsea’s opener before slotting home a penalty after Jaun Mata was adjudged to have been fouled in the box, giving the little Spaniard a welcomed assist.

Chelsea are another side who play twice in round 37 as they face off against Tottenham and Aston Villa but despite his goal an assist Mata and Oscar look like the most likely contenders for a midfield spot in most fantasy teams.

And with Oscar having scored in his last two league appearances it looks like he may get the nod ahead of his Spanish midfield team mate going into round 37.
