Having had an enormous hand in Manchester United title winnings season, not only with his hat-trick on Monday night but throughout the season with his contribution of a massive 24 goals RVP is one to have this week.
The fear now for fantasy managers is that because the title is wrapped up that Sir Alex may opt to rotate his squad and thus van Persie may be rested, but with a trip to the Emirates on the cards this weekend it seems highly unlikely.
Van Persie will make the trip to his former club as league title winner and despite his many years of service at the Emirates he will want to put on a good show infront of his former fans.
While many may fear that United will take their foot off the pedal now that they have secured the title the fact of the matter is that Sir Alex wants to exceed the highest ever points tally in the league and United will need to win their final four games if they are to do that.
Arsenal of course are still in the hunt for a Champions League spot and will want to pick up the points to keep a gap between themselves and Chelsea but having failed to keep a clean sheet against United in their last five attempts van Persie will certainly get chances.
While United look certain to play van Persie this weekend his future in the first team for the remainder of the season may be under threat with Ferguson looking to give both Hernandez and Welbeck some more game time before the end of the season.
This rotation worry could see fantasy managers have to opt out of the league’s leading goalscorer after round 35 but for the moment he is one to have heading to the Emirates this weekend.
