Samir Nasri has certainly not been a man we have spoken about all that often this season and considering the abilities and the fantasy returns posted by his team mates this season it is no surprise that he has been the somewhat forgotten man.
But having had limited game time this season Nasri has started the last four on the bounce for City and Mancini’s faith has been rewarded with the former Arsenal man picking up two assists and a goal during that time.
While many fantasy managers will certainly be more taken by the likes of Silva and Toure, they have not exactly been bringing home bags full of points of late in fact the pair combined have only managed the same amount of goals and assists as Nasri in the last four games.
Of course many will point out that David Silva has been out of action with a hamstring injury for the last two weeks, which is of course correct, but at the moment Silva is rated with a 75% chance of playing meaning he could well miss out again this weekend.
With Silva likely to miss out Nasri is the natural replacement for fantasy managers and while many may consider him few will actually select him, meaning that he offers excellent differential potential this weekend.
City welcome West Ham to the Etihad this weekend and as we are all aware the Hammers do not travel all that well. While West Ham’s season is all but over after they pretty much secured safety, City will want to push on and make sure of that second place finish and that will be the difference this weekend.
Brining in Nasri this weekend is a bit of a risk but with games running out fantasy managers are going to have to take a few risks if they are to claw back some points on the leaders and Nasri could well be the man to help them do so this weekend.
