As fantasy premier league managers know it is all about form and fixtures heading into the final weeks of the season and with many managers looking to make up ground the final weeks of the season team selection is going to be crucial.
One man who has not only made a return to form and has the fixtures to boot is Chelsea’s Juan Mata, the Spanish international looks to be back among the points for the final weeks of the season and could prove to be a valuable asset this weekend.
Having failed to register any attacking points in five of the six games between round 26 and round 32 Mata has found his way back to some sort of form and has now registered three assists in his last two games.
While the goals look to have dried up there is no doubting that should his form continue he will most certainly find the back of the net once again and with Swansea making the trip to the Bridge this weekend we may not have to wait too long to see Mata’s name back on the scoresheet.
The Swans make the trip to London having managed only one win in their last six and haven’t managed a clean sheet on the road since round 24 when they kept Sunderland under wraps.
Since then they have conceded 10 goals in the following away games and with Chelsea keen to put last week’s disappointing result behind them Michael Laudrup’s side will certainly be in for a hard day at the office.
While many mangers will worry about Mata’s ability to produce the goods at home, the fact of the matter is that the Swans defence is just not what is was and with the little Spaniard getting back among the points in recent weeks now could be a good time to bring him in.
