With Round 34 of The Irish Times Fantasy Premier League already in full flow fantasy managers will now set their sights on this weekend’s fixtures and with a lot of fantasy points up for grabs this weekend team selection will be crucial.
There have already been eight goals scored in the fixture week so far but with some of the usual suspects drawing a blank in their first games of the week a rethink may be necessary ahead of Saturday’s kick off’s.
As usual our coaches are on hand with their thoughts on the best player to bring in and today we focus in on those all important strikers positions, with Suarez, Ba, Cisse and Berbatov all drawing blanks now certainly looks like the time for a reshuffle.
Loic Remy (QPR) £6.0 million Fixture: Stoke (Home)
We have spoken at length about the up hill battle that faces Queens Park Rangers if they are to stave off relegation for another season, but in terms of fantasy football management their current league position could actually work to our advantage.
Olivier Giroud (Arsenal) £6.9 million Fixture: Fulham (Away)
It was a rather disappointing result in the opening game of round 34 for both Arsenal and Everton as the pair played out a 0-0 draw at the Emirates on Tuesday night but despite the result and lack of goals there is still value to be had in the Gunners attacking line.
Robin van Persie (Manchester United) £8.5 million Fixture: Aston Villa (Home)
With all the talk of van Persie’s goal drought well and truly over the Manchester United striker will be setting his sights on the golden boot at the end of the season especially with Suarez now drawing blanks.
