Rodriguez Ready To Rock Hammers

Thursday, April 11th, 2013 at 9:46 am by Phil Mc Grath

Southampton go in this weekend’s Premier League fixtures with a chance to ensure their league survival for another year, they currently sit on 37 point and a win against West Ham this weekend would guarantee their Premier League status for another season.

With three goals and two assists in his last three Rodriguez is a real differential heading into round 33.

While much of the talk surrounding Southampton has been about the impact their new manager Mauricio Pochettino has had on the club, those close to the club have been talking about one man, Jay Rodriguez.

The England under age international has come on leaps and bounds this season and under Pochettino has begun to show just why many are tipping him for his first full England cap in the coming months.

Rodriguez has picked up three goals and two assists in his last three games for the Saints and is showing no sign of slowing down as we head in the final week’s of the season.

As we said the Saints are almost guaranteed to be safe but a win this weekend against West Ham would seal the deal and with Rodriguez in such good form he offers a very interesting differential for fantasy managers to consider.

Of course the Hammer are also in need of three points to ensure their survival and with that much coveted 40 point mark waiting for the winner this game is sure to fiercely contested, but with Southampton in good form having already seen off Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea at St Mary’s you would have to fancy them to beat West Ham and for Rodriguez to continue his goal scoring run.
