We have spoken at length about Southampton’s turn in fortune since the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino at St Mary’s and recent results have boosted their league position they are not quite safe.
The Saints currently sit in 11th three points off that magic 40 point mark and with a home game to come against West Ham this weekend they will be keen to pick up the three points that ensure their safety.
One man who will be key to their chances of securing those much coveted three points is Morgan Schneiderlin, the French midfielder has been ever present in the Saints line up this season and is beginning to find form under the Saints new managers.
Schneiderlin may only have five goals and an assist to his credit this season but with Southampton in such good form of late he is sure to have the opportunity to add to this tally at the weekend.
West Ham make the trip to St Mary’s to face the newly revived Saints and with Pochettino’s men having already seem off the challenges of Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool at St Mary’s the Hammer are going to be for a tough game.
Big Sam’s side have a rather poor away record when it comes to scoring on the road and despite that fact that Andy Carroll has found some goals in recent week’s it looks to be a big ask for them to succeed where others have failed.
