Having talked about Cisse’s potential to return infront of the St James Park faithful earlier last week the Senegalese striker left it late to pop up with the Magpie’s winner against Fulham.
Going into the game Cisse had notched up two goals in his last two home games and Alan Pardew was hoping for more of the same as the Cottagers came to town.
Cisse left it until the 93rd minute to find the goals only game and give Newcastle a vital three points as they go in search of safety. Having now picked up three goals in three home games Cisse’s fantasy potential looks to be growing.
Newcastle now face two of their next three games at home and with Cisse on such fine form fantasy investment could be warranted heading into the final weeks of the season.
Another Newcastle player that had decent home stats heading into last weekend’s game with Fulham as Moussa Sissoko, but having picked up a blank against Martin Jol’s side the temptation to sell him could become too much for fantasy managers.
Like we said Newcastle go into their next three with games with two games at home against Sunderland and Liverpool and a trip stuttering West Brom in between as the look to put a gap between themselves and the bottom three.
With Newcastle still some four points off guaranteed safety now could be the time to invest in their home potential for the next three weeks as we can be pretty sure that once they hit that magical 40 point mark their performances could drop off.
