Liverpool’s season has been somewhat of a roller coaster this season with plenty of ups and downs but the one constant throughout has been the home performaces of Steven Gerrard.

Five goals and four assists in his last seven home games sees Gerrard make the cut this weekend.

The Liverpool skipper has returned to form this season and proved why his is so vital to Liverpool’s success with ten goals and twelve assists to his credit this season.

Gerrard’s form this season has been a huge improvement on previous season with the Kop idol only managing nine goals and seven assists in his last two seasons combined.

The England internationals home form this season has be unwavering and this has come to the fore in recent week with the Liverpool number eight chipping in with five goals and four assists in his last seven home appearances.

West Ham make the trip to Anfield having picked up a much needed three points last time out against West Brom at Upton Park, but on their travels the London outfit have struggled for clean sheets and results managing only two clean sheets in their last ten away games.

The Hammers win last time out will have taken the pressure off them to get results as they sit in 11th spot in the table, while Liverpool could go level with their city neighbours should the they win and the Toffee’s fail to beat Tottenham at the Lane.

Gerrard is going to be a key player for the remainder of the season and with his goals and assists at home coming with some regularity this season he could be an important player for you fantasy team too.
