Andy Carroll scored a brace for West Ham as they beat West Brom 3-1 at Upton Park . Andy Carroll has scored in his last three Premier League Appearances at home for the Hammers.
The opening goal for Carroll was a thumping header but it was his second goal that grabbed the headlines as he let the ball drop over his right shoulder after travelling a long way to volley it with his weaker right foot into the bottom corner of the baggies net.
These two goals sent Irish Times Fantasy Premier League managers into a flurry of activity as many made the decision early to transfer the Englishman into their team this weekend. As Carroll is on loan from Liverpool he will not feature in West Ham’s next Premier League game against them.
West Ham have probably collected enough points so far to ensure they don’t get dragged into the relegation battle. Carroll appears to be hitting format the right time for the Hammers as they have games coming up that the big man will relish against Manchester United, Newcastle and Reading.
