With the International’s set to come to a close tonight all eyes will be back on the fantasy premier league as we head into round 31 of the Irish Times Fantasy Premier League.
One man who has caught our eye over the recent break is Everton’s Leighton Baines, the Toffee’s full back has been ever present this season for David Moyes and with a clean sheet picked up last time out the Toffee’s look to be finishing off the season with the usual flourish.
While Baines’s clean sheet returns have been less than regular this season, his attacking returns have been steadily growing over recent weeks and that is where his value has grown.
Baines was highly impressive in England’s recent game with San Marino and while many will argue that he didn’t have do much defending he did get forward with great effect and highlighted his potential heading into round 31.
As we spoke about when looking at goalkeepers for round 31 Stoke travel to Goodison under somewhat of a cloud having only won one of their last six games and while their defence has come in for some flack their attacking play has also come under some scrutiny.
The Potters have only managed two goals in their last eight away games and with Everton having kept Manchester City quite last time out it seems highly unlikely that they will have the attacking power to disrupt Baines and Everton.
