It might seem a little obvious that we have once again gone for the United shot stopper but when it comes to fantasy management sometime the answer is just staring you in the face and it can’t be ignored.
The Manchester United keeper in the most in form keeper in the league with five clean sheets in a row and with stats like that it would be foolish to overlook him this weekend.
As I said United have picked up five clean sheets in a row and won their last six in a row showing they are without doubt the firm favourites to win the league and claim the title back from the blue half of Manchester.
Going into this weekend United travel to Sunderland to take on a Black Cat’s side that have not won a game since the 19th of January when they beat Wigan 3-1 but what is far more worrying for Martin O’ Neill is his side goal scoring record.
Sunderland have failed to score a single goal against the current league leaders at the Stadium of Light in their last five league encounters and with the news that their leading goal scorer Steven Fletcher will be out of the game their prospects don’t look good.
Fletcher was stretchered off after only four minutes of Scotland’s clash with Wales after he picked up and ankle injury and Scotland boss Gordon Strachan has ruled him out of Tuesday’s international with Serbia.
This latest news means we are unlikely to see Fletcher feature against United and although Sunderland have options up front with Conor Wickham returning from his loan spell it looks unlikely that O’ Neill’s side will trouble a United defence and keeper at the top of their game.
