That time of the week has rolled around once again when fantasy managers have to start thinking about just who they are going to hand the captain’s armband to this weekend.
With a full list of fixtures to choose from once again fantasy managers will have quite a number of players in mind heading into the weekend and with many looking for a captain differential there could be one or two out there worth a punt.
Of course if you are still unsure who to make captain our coaches have you covered and after publishing our final thoughts on the top players to be considering for round 30, there are a number of players worthy of the armband and as usual we have narrowed them down to our top 3.
The first player for you consideration for the second week in a row is Liverpool’s Luis Suarez, the Uruguayan striker has been in fantastic form this season and after having grabbed five goals and three assists in his last five games he looks odds on to cause Southampton problems at St Mary’s and pick up another goal or two or even three if he can get the service.
The second player on our hit list is Manchester United’s Robin van Persie, having picked up a goal and three assists in his last three games the dutch striker will be keen to heap even more misery on manager-less Reading this weekend when they make the trip to Old Trafford. The Royals have conceded 10 goals in their last four games and look to be heading for another long day at the office with van Persie looking to overtake Suarez in the race for the golden boot.
The last man on the list will be somewhat of a differential for fantasy manager looking for such a thing, Christian Benteke is Villa’s top scorer this season and probably the only reason they haven’t found themselves at the bottom of the table at this stage of the season. Having had a hand in 16 of Villa’s 28 goals this season Benteke is sure to be in the mix if Paul Lambert’s side are to beat QPR this weekend.
