That time of the week has rolled around once again when fantasy managers have to start thinking about just who they are going to hand the captain’s armband to this weekend.
With choices somewhat limited due to the reduced fixture list fantasy managers will have to weigh up their options carefully, but just because there are only 12 teams in action it doesn’t mean there aren’t points to be had.
After publishing our final thoughts on the top players to be considering for round 29, there are a number of players worthy of the armband and as usual we have narrowed them down to our top 3.
The first player for you consideration is Liverpool’s Luis Suarez, the Uruguayan striker has been in fantastic form this season and after picking up a hat-trick last weekend against Wigan he will be keen to prove he can do it against the bigger clubs as Tottenham come to town this weekend. With both sides playing an attacking brand of football there are sure to be chances for Suarez to add to his 21 goals this season.
Another player to find their way into our captain’s tips for the second week running is Tottenham’s Gareth Bale, the Spur’s midfielder has been providing attacking returns on a weekly basis of late and after another impressive performance in the Europa League on Thursday night he is impossible to ignore heading into round 29. Tottenham of course travel to Anfield and despite the fact that Spurs are way from home the stats would suggest that this will suit Bale, with 12 of his 16 league goals coming on the road this season.
The last man on our list for captain considerations is West Brom’s Romelu Lukaku, the Belgian international has been in fantastic form this season since his loan move to the Hawthorns and having missed out last weekend due to the terms of his loan agreement it was clear to see that the Baggies struggled to trouble Chelsea without him. Lukaku is back this week to face Swansea and with three goals in his last two appearances he is bang on form heading into this weekend. The Swans haven’t managed a win on the road in their last four away games and Lukaku and West Brom will be hopeful of making that five.
