With ten games left to go in the Premier League Queens Park Rangers will be hoping that they can pull off another great escape and aviod the drop come the final day of the season and they will be hugely reliant on Loic Remy, hoping his goals can steer them clear.
Going into this weekend’s clash with Sunderland the R’s find themselves seven points off safety and with a big task ahead of them if they are to stand any chance of staying up.
Luckily for them, Loic Remy is back fit and scoring goals after the former Marseille missed almost three weeks with a groin injury.
Having made a goalscoring return last time out against Southampton Remy will be keen to continue his reasonably impressive start to life in the premier league and with two goals in four appearances he will be hopeful of finally grabbing his first goal at Loftus Road when the Black Cat’s come to town.
Sunderland make the trip down south on somewhat of a poor run of form on their travels having lost three of their last four away games and concededing 9 goals in the process.
With Martin O’ Neill’s side posting stats like that Harry’s men will be hopefully they can grab the much needed three points and with the R’s so reliant on Remy to help get them out of the relegation battle he is sure to get plenty of service and given Sunderland’s recent away form plenty of chances too.
It is also worth noting that QPR face Aston Villa, Fulham and Wigan in their following three games, so there could be value to be had in Remy for quite a few weeks to come if he can find his shooting boots.
