Having already secured the Capital One Cup trophy this season, Swansea’s season looks to be on the up and in returned to league last weekend with a 1-0 win over Newcastle last weekend they were the first side to win their first game after securing the title in three years, with both Liverpool and Birmingham losing their first league game having been crowned league cup champions.
Michu has been without doubt the best but of the year for Michael Laudrup’s side costing only £2 million the Spaniard has gone onto score 15 goals and pick up three assists in his debut season.
After a blistering start to the season that saw him claim 7 goals and an assist in his first 14 games Michu’s goal scoring rate has fallen off with the Spaniard only managing 3 goals and an assist in his last 11.
However with two goal, an assist and a goal in the league cup final coming in his last three appearances in all competitions he looks to have regained his form in time for the final run in.
While there is no doubting the fact the West Brom will be a tough side to break down the Swans quick passing style of football will mean the Baggies are going to be in for a busy afternoon.
The Swans are actually on a run that has seen them fail to score in their last four away games, but after being energised by their recent cup success, it is only a matter of time before they rectify that stat and if anyone is likely to get them goals it is going to be Michu.
