Heading into round 28 of the Irish Times Fantasy Premier League Liverpool will be keen to pick up where they left off last time out and none more so than Luis Suarez after he popped up with a goal and assist against Swansea.
Liverpool have of course had some extra time off since then after their game with Swansea was rescheduled but we can imagine that will done them any harm as they prepare for the final weeks of the season.
Suarez has been in blinding form this season and is second only Robin Van Persie for league goals this season and with the Dutch striker likely to be rested ahead of Manchester United’s second leg tie with Real Madrid Suarez is a more than capable replacement.
At this point in the season there is not much more we can tell you about Suarez that you don’t already know, his 18 goals and 7 assists tell you all you need to know about the man from Uruguay.
Wigan make up the opposition in round 28 and rather worryingly for them they have yet to keep a clean sheet at the DW Stadium all season. The Latics will be keen to get a result as they bid for safety but with Liverpool and Suarez in particular in fine fettle it looks a tall order for the team currently lying fourth from bottom in the table.
Home or away it doesn’t seem to matter to the Red’s front man he has scored goals in equal measures and despite the fact that Wigan normally come good at this point in the season it is likely that Liverpool will have to much for them on the day.
